Had an emergency email today about a shot changing, a bit annoying as I would have had time to do it last night if I'd only known! After sorting out the details went for a quick breakfast in the hotel and then it was off to San Diego Zoo. This was what the Fish had been looking forward to the whole trip!

Definitely the Orangutans were a highlight for me (pictured), also the Pandas as I'd never seen them before. As there are no Hummingbirds in England we spent quite a bit of time in their avery which was amazing as they would fly right past. The one disappointment of the zoo were the big cats, you go somewhere like Port Lympne or Howletts and the cats have a good size habitat. These were tiny, makes you want to tell them to have less animals and bigger areas. I don't necessarily have to see the animals! In fact I love zoos where you don't see everything... So yeah San Diego Zoo good but not the best I've been to.

After the zoo went to Benihana for dinner which was great. Haven't been to a Japanese steak house for quite a while. The best though was that it was a Mexican chef, he did have all the knife tricks down to an art which is always very entertaining!

Umm the blog might get a bit full of animal pics the next few days as we are off to Sea World tomorrow...
