After an early breakfast we headed for the world famous Sea World. Got roped in by the announcements about letting them plan the day for you, and decided to start with a dolphin encounter. Should have probably done that at the end of the day as we peaked too early! We were lucky enough to meet Scarback who seemed to love the Fish who was moved to tears, oh and the "fish" we were feeding her of course. If you ever get the chance to go see a dolphin up close I highly recommend it!

Spent the rest of the day checking out all the exhibits and shows. Now again like the Zoo we had issues with a few things. There seemed to be zero conservation and education. Looked for it everywhere but the most factual info was above the urinals! And the other annoying thing were the shows... I don't want to totally go into it but when I see Killer Whales it would be so much better without trainers mincing about and getting in the water with them! It really is like a Siegfried and Roy situation waiting to happen, as those mammals are the top of the food chain and have no natural predators. An example I found here makes you wonder how often it happens, but in all honesty we are routing for the whale aren't we? I won't go into the Dolphin show but c'mon Sea World you could do so much better.

Back to the highlights though, the Shark tank which you could walk right through, also the Penguins had a seasonal enclosure so they were in near darkness to mimic the South Pole.

Headed back to the hotel and I have been trying to find a copy of Jurassic Park on DVD for ages (no I don't want the set of all three movies!) and it happened to be on HBO so while I retouched the final Manson image we watched the film.

Went to find a Mexican restaurant we were told to go to but found it closed and the nearest option was a Papa John's pizza. Never had it before but I think if there was one in Brighton I would be their best customer! Investigations may start once I return to England...
